Más de 200 millones de mujeres en todo el mundo viven con los genitales mutilados. Son mujeres musulmanas y cristianas que comparten una tradición que no respeta los derechos humanos. The cut recoge el testigo de mujeres que han sufrido la mutilación genital femenina y viaja hasta Kenia para comprobar como la educación es la clave por empoderar las mujeres, y poner así fin a una práctica que todavía hoy, mientras autoridades y gobiernos hacen como si no vieran, se realiza en clandestinidad. Pero The cut es sobre todo el ejemplo de que hay personas que ante la injusticia no callan, actúan.

More than 200 million women around the world live with mutilated genitalia. They are Muslim and Christian women who share a tradition that does not respect human rights. The cut gathers the witness of women who have undergone female genital mutilation and travels to Kenya to see how education is the key to empowering women, and thus end a practice that still today, while authorities and governments do as if they saw, it is carried out in clandestinity. But The cut is above all the example that there are people who, in the face of injustice, do not remain silent, they act.
