- EXTENDED SYNOPSIS
Él no puede leer, no puede salir, no puede dormir. Ella decide mandarle unas cuantas lecturas para acompañarle en sus noches en vela. Sin haberlo previsto, los paisajes y las calles de la ciudad se cuelan en esta carta improvisada. Rodado en distintos lugares de Madrid, "Yo siempre puedo dormir pero hoy no puedo" explora la relación entre la palabra escrita y la oral, trazando un recorrido geográfico y literario por las múltiples formas en las que se presenta la literatura.
He can't read, he can't go out, he can't sleep. She decides to send him a few readings to accompany him on his sleepless nights. Without having foreseen it, the landscapes and the streets of the city slip into this improvised letter. Shot in different places of Madrid, "I Can Always Sleep But Tonight I Can't" explores the relationship between the written word and the spoken one, tracing a geographical and literary route through the multiple ways in which literature is presented.
