- EXTENDED SYNOPSIS
En febrero de 1940, Antonio García Álvarez (El Chófer) fue condenado a muerte en Consejo de Guerra sumarísimo; su delito el de "adhesión a la rebelión militar" por haberse unido voluntariamente como miliciano, a una de las Brigadas Populares del ejército republicano durante la Guerra Civil Española. En los meses de reclusión en la Prisión Provincial de Málaga hasta su fusilamiento, Antonio, un conductor de taxi de adscripción anarquista escribió de forma clandestina un Libro de Poemas con 67 páginas, pidiendo como última voluntad en una carta de despedida, que se publicasen esos poemas.
In February, 1940, Antonio García Álvarez (The Chauffeur) was condemned to death in Court-martial sumarísimo; his crime that of “adhesion to the military revolt” for having joined voluntarily as militiaman, to one of the Popular Brigades of the republican army during the Spanish Civil war. In the months of imprisonment in the Provincial Prison of Malaga up to his execution, Antonio, a driver of taxi of anarchistic adscription wrote of clandestine form a Book of Poems with 67 pages, asking as last will in a Dear John letter, which these poems were publishing.
