It is 1978. The hottest summer in the century. The whole of the small villageof Acque Traverse seems immobilized, inactive; school has finished, the adultsshelter in the houses to escape the heat which is suffocating everyone. Only asmall group of children move freely around the city and the surrounding country,running about and having adventures. One evening, little Michele discover acaptive childin a hole inside an abandoned house. What do they want to do with him? Whydoesn’t anyone in the town talk about him? Why are Michele’s parents involvedin this strange event? Michele finds himself completely alone in these terriblecircumstances, which will change his life for ever, marking the end of hischildhood and the discovery of unknown courage.
