Sandra y David son amigos desde la infancia, los mejores amigos. En una sociedad pequeña de provincias, él es el chaval que desafía a los mayores y que se atreve a todo, mal estudiante, solitario pero encantador. Ella parece una buena niña, peroenelfondo,... no sabe si lo es. Es rebelde por contagio, porque le basta con ser amiga de David para que los mayores se sorprendan. Juntos van creciendo en un mundo donde todo lo que no les pertenece les es ajeno: para David, Sandra es el amor, y,además,su mejor compañera de aventuras. Para Sandra, David es su íntimo amigo, su colega, y, también, su único modo de rebelarse. Ya en la adolescencia, parece lógico que su amistad derive en una relación más profunda, pero un acontecimiento imprevisiblegolpea brutalmente a cada uno por separado, alterando el curso que seguían sus vidas de estudiantes: Sandra se convertirá en una superviviente, y David en el guardián de su secreto. Juntos, sin hablarlo nunca en voz alta, mantienen su relación decómplices. Y se enamoran desesperadamente, con la inocencia y la crueldad de los niños, pero dentro de unos cuerpos que presagian la edad adulta. Pero Sandra empieza a interesarse por cosas que a David no le importan lo más mínimo, y, además,quiereescaparse de la ciudad, salir al mundo... Sandra and David have been the very best friends since childhood. In the very narrow society of a small provincial town, he is the little kid who defies all the bigger boys. Hardly the model student, he’s as rowdy, and though something of a loner,isvery charming. She seems a good girl, but deep down, really deep down… she doesn’t know whether she really is.
