Rafael Obregón has awoken from a coma after receiving an electric shock in anincident where he is found together with the hanged body of his girlfriend,Paloma Rios, a magistrate’s daughter. The only thing in his head is the imageof a painting by El Bosch, “The Cure for Folly; Trepanning”, with somemodifications compared with the original. The inspector in charge of the caseis an old policeman whose bosses hope will take retirement with honours. Theinvestigations revolve around this painting. Pressure from the magistrate, keenfor revenge, forces him to work quickly. One line of investigation is in reallife, lead by Inspector González but the other is in Obregón’s mind, in the ElBosch painting. Who will finally find the truth?
