Rodado en diversos puntos de España, las Islas Canarias, Cabo Verde, Argentina, el Caribe y el Océano Antártico a lo largo de 18 meses, el documental nos acerca a una temática prácticamente inédita en el audiovisual español y cambiará su visión sobre el fascinante mundo de la navegación transoceánica. Solo el ansia de vivir la naturaleza en su plenitud y la libertad absoluta a pesar de los peligros que encierra el mar, explica el esfuerzo y sufrimiento de los navegantes.

A group of friends without any nautical experience and an experienced Captain go on board a catamaran named Gandul. They meet at the Canary Islands with the purpose of crossing the Atlantic Ocean and arrive to the Barbados Island five weeks later. During the crossing we´ll live unique moments, all amidst an amazing scenery. We will live the adventure with them. Weeks later, on the way back to Spain the catamaran gets surprised by a huge storm in the middle of the ocean which causes the shipwreck of the Gandul.
