En el año 2000, ETA rompió su tregua y comenzó a atentar contra todos aquellos que, como Juan Mari, seguían apostando por tender puentes hacia la paz. Su viuda, Maixabel Lasa, y su asesino, Ibon Etxezarreta, se juntan, hablan y se sinceran sobre aquellos años mirándose a los ojos. Zubiak es un relato de memoria y dignidad, de dialogo y perdón, de arrepentimiento y reconciliación en una Euskadi que está empezando a reconstruir sus puentes y que ha perdido el miedo a hablar.

The story of one of ETA´s victims, Juan Mari Jauregi, told by the two most important people in his life, his widow and the person who took that life from him, his killer. In 2000, ETA broke its ceasefire and started to attack all those who, like Juan Mari, remained firm in their commitment to building bridges towards peace. His widow, Maixabel Lasa, and his murderer, Ibon Etxezarreta, meet, talk and level with one another about those years, looking into each other´s eyes.
