El año pasado vimos, en el ciclo de la Filmoteca, que el máster de Llámale Jess se había degradado muchísimo. Por otra parte, con Ferrán Herranz -que ha producido, entre otras, la última película de Jesús Franco, Al Pereira vs. The AlligatorLadies-hacía mucho tiempo que hablábamos de hacer un nuevo montaje del documental. Tras la muerte de Lina y de Jess no tuvimos ninguna duda de que debíamos hacerlo. Intentando respetar la esencia de lo que hicimos en el 2000 con Manel Mayol, recuperémetrajedescartado con lo que pudimos dar mayor protagonismo a Lina, mostrar cortes inéditos que me parecen importantes y que nos han permitido reestructurar algunas partes del documental. Ahora es bastante más largo. Para mantener la máxima calidad deimagenhemos respetado el formato de 4:3 de las cintas de rodaje.
