La mujer sin piano es el retrato de un ama de casa cualquiera a comienzos del siglo XXI en Madrid. Su protagonista es una mujer casada para la que no hay nada comparable a la íntima satisfacción de ver el plato humeante servido con admirablepuntualidada la hora de la comida. La película cuenta veinticuatro horas de su vida doméstica, laboral y sexual, una vida de la que una noche decide escapar, y cuenta todo lo que le pasa en esta fuga que dura lo que dura la noche.Quizá alguien diga que esta es una película sobre la alienación y la esclavitud de un ama de casa, pero en realidad es la historia de una mujer que, entrando en la menopausia, sin amistades, ni relaciones sociales, que ha vivido toda su vidavolcada enla familia, que no se ve bonita, ni le gusta su pelo, se deja arrastrar por la noche y su extrañeza. Y es que, cuando llega la noche, otro mundo aparece, humorístico, negro, absurdo.
