Sesenta años después el prestigio social de la gastronomía es enorme, el cambio ha sido revolucionario y hoy en día muchos niños animados por sus padres sueñan con ser grandes cocineros. Juan Mari ha vivido esta evolución en primera persona y ha sido parte fundamental de ella. Arzak, la casa de comida familiar situada en el Alto de Miracruz de San Sebastián, ha pasado a ser uno de los mejores restaurantes del mundo. Ahora, la nueva generación ya ha tomado el relevo. Elena Arzak, la hija de Juan Mari, ya está al frente del restaurante y el padre se va retirando poco a poco. Es momento de reflexión, de hacer balance de toda una vida.
