- EXTENDED SYNOPSIS
Darth Vader is considered the best villain in film history. His figure, his breathing, his movements, everything around the iconic character is recognized worldwide. Everything except something: David Prowse, the man behind the mask. With 80 years old, David lives anonymously at Croydon, a little neighborhood at the outskirts of London. He apparently has a simple life, but unlike his neighbors, David hides one of the most incredible stories that can be told. Our adventure begins when a young filmmaker decides to travel to London to propose David Prowse something unimaginable: reshoot a sequence from the legendary trilogy. A sequence he couldn’t shoot thirty years ago and which stopped Prowse frombeingaswell known as the rest of the cast, such as Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher or Mark Hamill. The goal is to repair an injustice paying attention to thousands of fans who defend that David Prowse should have played Darth Vader in that particular scene. In asymbolic way, the director, helped by a group of enthusiastic fans, will try to give back Prowse the recognition he never had.In this adventure, the directors will find out some clues about the difficult relationship between David Prowse and Lucasfilm. Apparently, the reason of their differences was an article published by a British diary, during the shooting of “Thereturnofthe Jedi”. Was the article the only reason why David Prowse has been ostracized all this years? It’s the moment to find the truth about all this, as we try to convince David Prowse of playing, for the last time, the most well known villain of all time.
