Iciar y Fernando son jóvenes. Los dos atraviesan la experiencia más traumática de sus breves vidas: la pérdida de uno de los progenitores. Pero Fernando e Iciar no pueden compartir el dolor ni las estrategias para manejarlo. Viven en tiempos distintos. Fernando en 1977 en Bilbao se enfrenta al secuestro de su padre por parte de ETA. Iciar en 2011 en Navarra afronta el cáncer fulminante de su madre Adela.

Having had to confront her mother´s lethal cancer, Iciar becomes aware of the tragic kidnapping and murder of her grandfather at the hands of ETA in 1977. Thanks to Iciar´s efforts to bring to light the family memory, she and her father will get back together and find common ground in a new way of looking at the past in order to face the future and go on living.
