Pedro es un joven que está recluido en un psiquiátrico en medio de la guerracivil. Es el ayudante de Felipe Rivel, un psiquiatra convencido de que existeun tratamiento contra la locura. A ellos se une Teresa, una joven que buscarefugio y apoyo para esperar a su novio, Santiago, del bando republicano.

Pedro, a young man, has been shut away in a psychiatric hospital in the middleof the civil war. He is the assistant to Felipe Rivel, a psychiatrist who isconvinced there is a treatment for madness. Teresa joins them. She is lookingfor shelter and support while waiting for her boyfriend, Santiago who is on theRepublican side.
