Esta película documental traza la trayectoria del trio de oro de la cultura española del siglo XX: Luis Buñuel, Federico García Lorca y Salvador Dalí, como nunca antes se había mostrado. Eran jóvenes y brillantes, inteligentes y alegres. Tenían un proyecto de país moderno, la ilusión por un cambio que siempre iba acompañado de sonrisas, bromas y genialidades, un proyecto truncado por la guerra española.
“Generación: Buñuel, Lorca, Dalí” nos muestra la llamada generación del 27 a través de las conversaciones grabadas por Max Aub, del testimonio de expertos y amigos, del ingente material de archivo existente, de las huellas que dejaron en los lugares que habitaron (Calanda, Madrid, París, Nueva York, México, Valencia...), desvelando sus contradicciones, sus miedos, sus ilusiones y sus anhelos, a través del mosaico de posibilidades que ofrece el género documental.

This documentary film traces the trajectory of the golden trio of twentieth-century Spanish culture: Luis Buñuel, Federico García Lorca and Salvador Dalí, as he had never shown before. They were young and bright, intelligent and cheerful. They had a modern country project, the illusion for a change that was always accompanied by smiles, jokes and genius, a project truncated by the Spanish war.
GENERATION: BUÑUEL, LORCA, DALÍ shows us the so-called generation of 27 through the conversations recorded by Max Aub, the testimony of experts and friends, the enormous amount of existing archive material, the traces they left in the places they inhabited (Calanda, Madrid, Paris, New York, Mexico, Valencia ...), revealing their contradictions, their fears, illusions and desires, through the mosaic of possibilities offered by the documentary genre.
