Inés es una joven donostiarra incapaz de soñar y un poco perdida que descubre accidentalmente el libro El sueño de la sultana donde se describe el País de las mujeres, un lugar donde las mujeres son todas científicas y tienen el poder mientras que los hombres están encerrados en casa, limitados por su ignorancia. Fascinada por este clásico de la literatura utópica feminista, y por su autora, la escritora y activista musulmana Begum Rokeya Hossain, Inés se embarca en un viaje iniciático a través de la India en busca de las trazas de la autora y del País de las Mujeres. Inés a Spanish artist lives in India and stumbles upon Sultana's Dream, a science fiction story written by Rokeya Hossain in 1905. It describes Ladyland, a utopia in which women rule the country while men live in seclusion and are responsible for household chores.
