Carlos, un hombre pacífico, ve alterada su vida cuando, Marta, una niña de 13 años, se cruza en el camino de su hijo Pablo y comienza a extorsionar, primero al niño y después al padre. Incapaz de defenderse, se ve envuelto en una serie desituacionesangustiosas que le llevan a una respuesta desproporcionada.El país del miedo indaga en el origen de nuestros temores como una fuente de dominación que nos obliga a aceptar formas abusivas de protección.

The Country of Fear looks into our worst fears and how the may and up becoming the source of different forms of domination. Such fears can lead us to accept overprotective behaviour. They can also make us turn into more defensive, vulnerable andself-destructive beings. Carlos suspects that his son Pablo, who has just begun high school, is being harassed by a girl in his class. For a series of reasons, Marta, the bully, aged 13, ends up extorting him. No one knows about this except forthevictim and her aggressor, so they are both accomplices of a painful and embarrassing situation. Carlos´s anxiety and his inability to deal with this conflict lead him to take wrong decisions, which only serve to make matters worse.
