En 1936 estalla la guerra civil y las milicias anarquistas toman el poder en el Bajo Aragón. Allí, Ramón y su mujer Dora esconden un secreto ancestral: unas misteriosas luces aparecen junto al bosque que rodea su masía. Según la tradiciónfamiliar,esasluces son una puerta a otro mundo del que nadie vuelve. Cuando Lo Coixo, un anarquista enamorado de Dora, intenta acabar con Ramón, éste se verá obligado a entrar en las luces y desaparecer. Dora resistirá a la guerra y al acoso de Lo Coixo con laúnicaayuda de un oficial de las brigadas internacionales y de un viejo anarquista… hasta que Ramón reaparece del más allá.

A family from Matarranya, in the Lower Aragon region of Spain, conceals an ancient secret: the mysterious lights that appear near the country house where they live. It is a supernatural glow that can be seen two nights a year, amid the undergrowthof astrange forest. According to family tradition, the lights are a gateway to another world, a world of no return for those who cross over. A gateway that the family warily hides from the people of the nearby town.
