Durante los primeros años de su vida, Laura García Pérez llamó a la cámara “papá”. Su padre pasaba gran parte del año fuera del país por trabajo, mientras su madre la grababa para que él la viera crecer. Con ella y con su abuela, revisa ahora aquellos vídeos domésticos, así como fotografías de las que ha desaparecido el padre y el diario que su madre escribió en un centro psiquiátrico. En su primer largometraje, la cineasta busca reflexionar sobre la propia identidad a través de la reconstrucción de los recuerdos. During the early years of her life, Laura García Pérez referred to the camera as "daddy". Her father spent a significant part of the year working abroad, while her mother videoed her growing up for him to watch when he was home. Now, with her grandmother and her mother, she looks back over those home movies, as well as photographs from which her father has disappeared and the diary her mother wrote in a psychiatric facility. In her debut feature, Laura García Pérez aims to reflect on her own identity through the reconstruction of memories.
