Una caravana acompaña a un anciano y moribundo Sheikh a Sijilmasa. Su última voluntad es ser enterrado junto a los suyos, pero la muerte no espera y lo alcanza mientras cruzan las escarpadas cumbres del Atlas marroquí. Los caravaneros, temerosos de la montaña, se niegan a seguir transportando el cadáver. Ahmed y Said, dos buscavidas que viajan con la caravana, dicen conocer el camino a Sijilmasa y se ofrecen a llevar su cuerpo hasta allí. La esposa del Sheikh duda, ¿conocen verdaderamente el camino? En otro mundo, paralelo y remoto, Shakib es escogido para viajar hasta las montañas donde se encuentra la caravana. Su cometido es claro: tiene que ayudar a los improvisados caravaneros a llegar a su destino. Shakib también duda, es su primera misión.

A caravan escorts an elderly and dying Sheikh trough the Moroccan Atlas. His last wish is to be buried with his loved ones. But death does not wait. The caravaneers, fearful of the mountain pass, refuse to continue transporting the corpse. Ahmed and Said, two rogues traveling with the caravan, promise to take the body to its destiny. But do they really know the way? In another world, parallel and remote, Shakib is chosen to travel to the mountains where the caravan is.
