A los 89 años de edad, el artista se enfrenta a una retrospectiva en el Museo de Bellas Artes, que le hace replantearse y analizar su propia vida, susobrasysu relación con el arte. A lo largo de este viaje descubriremos el singular espíritu y modo de trabajo de Néstor, así como su influencia en la Cultura y en el Arte Contemporáneo del siglo XX.

This documentary presents the life and work of versatile artist Néstor Basterretxea. At the age of 89, Néstor faces his last and most extensive retrospective at the Museum of Fine Arts in Bilbao. This arouses contradictions and makes him think andanalyze his own life, his works and his relationship to art. Throughout this trip we will discover Néstor´s unique spirit and way of working, and his influence on the culture and contemporary art of the twentieth century.
