Billy (William Burroughs) cruza el estrecho y llega a la ciudaddondeescribirá The Naked Lunch y se encuentra con personajes de la talla de Paul y Jane Bowles, Brion Gysin… La relaciones de esta bohemia en este “cielo del infierno” son creativas, divertidas, libérrimas y lisérgicas, pero en el fondo están en elumbraldeun territorio terrible: el enigma cerebral que apasiona y destruye, ama y odia, el lugar del auto-armisticio para algunos o el final de las esperanzas para otros, la ciudad de los espejos internos.
