- EXTENDED SYNOPSIS
Aura María, joven mexicana con un oculto y conflictivo pasado, consigue una oferta mediante la cual puede viajar a España provista de un apetecible contrato de trabajo y estadía asegurada en Madrid.Ya en Madrid descubre que el contrato de trabajo, la estancia, incluso el billete de regreso, son falsos. Su mundo y su ideal de futuro se desmoronan y queda enfrentada a un pasado repleto de dolor y mentiras.Aura María termina viviendo en la particular pensión de doña Pura. En realidad la pensión es un mundo en sí mismo y a la vez el lugar del que Aura María hace su refugio, contrastado siempre con la cruda realidad del exterior. En ella entrará aformarparte de una particular familia de desarrapados: Oswaldo, un argentino director de orquesta, sin orquesta, obsesionado con la Obetura 1812 de Tchaikovsky; Olivetti, un traductor de lenguas muertas travestido de mujer por una razón difícil deimaginar;Paisa, un buscavidas “consiguetodo”; y Andrés, un joven de otra época con una misión por cumplir. Una pensión en la que conviven vivos y muertos sin que sepamos hasta el final a qué mundo pertenece cada cual.Inspirados por el espíritu hospitalario de doña Pura, entre ellos se creará un potente de solidaridad y ayuda mutua que les llevará, al ritmo de la genial Obertura, a pasar página… y a saltar por los aires las cristaleras de Madrid…
Aura María, a young Mexican woman with a dark and troubled past, receives and offer to travel to Spain with a good work contract and lodgings in Madrid.Once in Madrid she discovers her work contract, lodgings and her return ticket are false. Her world falls apart and she’s forced to face her past full of pain and lies.Paisa a character who earns his living selling all kinds of stuff round hotels and brothels in the city center manages to get her a room in Madam Pura’s motel. Madam Pura, a charitable soul who helps all kinds of people with problems, runs aneroticline to maintain the motel and its guests.Actually the motel is a world of its own and the place where Aura Maria finds her refuge, contrasting with the crude reality of the exterior. There she meets the rest of the characters: Oswaldo, the co-protagonist, an Argentinian OrchestraConductorwho´s obsessed with Tchaikovsy´s Oberture 1812; Olivetti, a transvestite who decided to dress as woman when he became a widower so he wouldn’t fall in love again; or the son of the motel owner, Andrés, who died years ago in a traffic accident. Inthemotel dead and alive characters live together and until the end we won’t find out who is who.Oswaldo, with the help of the motel guests and Aura Maria, is able to conduct his concert in the Opera Theater. While he does it we discover the reality of each character.
