Juan cree haber observado en Ramona cierto tipo de insinuaciones, de forma que se atreve a entrar en su habitación en mitad de la noche. Ramona ha imaginado una relación romántica pero, instintivamente, sin poderlo remediar, él procede a unaviolaciónque nada tiene de romántico. El resultado es un cambio radical en ambos, de tal magnitud que los dos dejan de ser lo que han sido hasta el momento para entrar en una zona irracional donde los instintos son el eje de la conducta.
