Manu, siendo niño, se enamoró platónicamente de la gran Pianista Stella Panini y su sueño es conocerla. Para ello, siguiendo el consejo de un turbio personaje, Stefano Salegi, que luego se convertirá en manager, formará una orquesta. Pero Manu, además de un soñador con mayúsculas, es también un incomprendido, un outsider que va por libre, empezando por la peculiaridad de su instrumento, que no es otro que la escoba… Ello no le impide crear una peculiar orquesta formada por una contrabajista que siente picores en la axila cuando está nerviosa, dos hermanos gemelos que tocan los vientos y cuentan con un olfato sobrenatural, un contratenor bigotudo y un percusionista que toca un triángulo en el que se posa un jilguero. Les acompaña, además, una cabra gitana que hace el número de la escalera.

Manu fell in love with the pianist Stella Panini when he was a child and it´s been his dream to meet her ever since. To achieve his dream he follows the advice of Stefano Salegi, a shady character who becomes his manager and forms a band. But, not just an energetic dreamer, Manu is an outsider with problems finding his place in society. That´s clear by the instrument he´s chosen - none other than the broom - that he uses to make music and carry the rhythm. That won´t keep him from starting a band completely sui generis that breaks all the clichés. The members include a violinist who might stop playing at any moment because of his itchy armpit, the twin trumpet players rescued from the circus who have an extraordinary sense of smell, a bearded counter-tenor and a percussionist who plays a triangle that a finch uses as a perch. They´ve also got a goat like the ones used by nomadic gypsies along with them who has an uncanny ability to climb up the end of the portable stage.

(Euskara) Manu, artean umea zela, harri eta zur geratu zen hirira bisitan etorri zen orkestra sinfonikoa ikusi eta entzun ondoren. Egun hartaz geroztik, ez du bere orkestra propioa sortzea beste ametsik izango.
Baina ameslari kementsua izateaz gain, gizartean bere lekua topatzeko arazoak dituen outsider bat ere bada Manu, hautatu duen musika tresnak garbi uzten duen bezala: erratza baita, eta ez beste bat, musika egin eta erritmoa eramateko darabilena...
